The IACT Innovator’s Challenge: Surgical Innovation is a student pitch competition that will expose students to the world of healthcare technology innovation.
Students will get the opportunity to:
- Learn from expert business leaders, academic faculty, and clinical physicians;
- Collaborate with passionate students from local universities, such as the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University;
- Get mentored by accomplished professionals;
- Pitch their concepts to an all-star judging panel.
Throughout the day, interdisciplinary teams of students will be tasked with identifying a problem within the realm of surgery and developing a unique solution. Teams will then give a 2.5 minute elevator pitch explaining the market and business opportunity while detailing how a team would proceed to make the concept a reality!
